The Feature Tile
If you like to stand out from the crowd, this is the bathroom for you! The beautiful feature tile offers just enough uniqueness to make a statement without overdoing it.
The Cool White
With grey undertones and the use of two complementary tiles, this classy design will defy the ages. The window shutters complete the look!
The Sleek Contemporary
Handle-less cabinetry, minimal colour and plenty of light, this bathroom is for the modern family.
The Clean Lines
For the no-nonsense family, we have a bathroom with defined lines separating each area. The matching tiles above the vanity and in the shower alcove adds a little extra something!
The Overall Tile
Nothing screams modern like floor-to-ceiling tiles! Bathrooms that feature this remain stylish, and water causing damage to your paint job becomes a thing of the past!
The ‘Au Naturel’
Natural stones and timber continue to reign supreme in bathrooms. Combine the two for an effortless modern, yet rustic, appeal.
The Luxurious Shower
A full-length, in-built shelf, waterfall showerhead and tiles that seamlessly flow from the bathroom through the shower – need we say more?
The Dark Bathroom
A darker tile choice will mean less cleaning is required to keep your bathroom looking special. Team it with some greenery to add colour, and make sure your fixtures are white to ensure some contrast.
The Double Vanity
A luxurious touch is the double vanity, which acts as the centerpiece of the rooms. The shower is hidden from view behind it.
The Light Up Feature
After something a bit different? Add some lighting under the vanity for a contemporary feel!
The All White
Bathrooms with white on white create a clean, sophisticated look. The pendant lighting over the mirrors adds a touch of class too!
The Spacious Design
Lighter colours will create a more open feel, as will incorporating the same tile throughout the bathroom. Using just a single glass panel for the shower creates the illusion you are looking at one giant space!
The Spa Treatment
Free-standing baths are the must-have trend at the moment. Team it with a stylish feature tile, and you’ll have you very own home-spa!

A messy bathroom can put a damper on the entire feel of your home. From soapy scum to unfinished bottles of shampoo, a thorough clean out of the entire bathroom will leave you feeling great. Read our list of items to clean out now and create your very own bathroom sanctuary!
1. Remove expired makeup, medication and other bottles
The quickest way to remove clutter from your bathroom is to throw away all expired products. Old makeup, medications and toiletries will become less effective over time and become a waste of space. Be sure to follow the instructions on how to dispose of each product, in particular the medication. If you are unsure, take it to a pharmacy for advice.
2. Group like-products together
Group all your remaining products together according to how often you use them. Your daily makeup, cleansing and medication items should all be kept close at hand. Extra toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner bottles can be put away in cabinets. It is advised to try and keep your products off the bathroom benchtop to keep the space looking clean and neat, however, we know from experience this just isn’t always possible. Best practice is to keep your daily items stored nicely on the benchtop in a group, and hide the rest away.
3. Store items creatively
Use baskets, bins or pretty containers to store items in your cupboards. Cutlery trays are great for bathroom drawers as well! If items are placed in the same area, not only can they be hidden from plain sight, but they will also become much easier to find.
4. Remove rusty razors, threadbare towels and ratty bathmats
Razors that cut your skin or worse, do absolutely nothing are useless and can be binned. The same goes for old loofahs or washcloths, which can be a breeding ground for bacteria. If your towels are well past their used by date, take the time to invest in new ones to help make your bathroom feel a million dollars!
5. Use the walls for storage
If you have minimal storage room in your bathroom, utilise the roof or walls instead! There are plenty of hanging baskets you can purchase that are perfect to store your towels or other bathroom supplies. Hang them from the ceiling or wall and voila – you have created the perfect, easy-access storage unit!
6. If you haven’t used it in a year…
Then consider it for the trash. This applies to hair products, cleansers and other toiletries, but also that curling wand or crimping iron you used once, never to be touched again.
7. Hotel amenities
It may just be us, but if your bathroom is filled with the tiny samples of shampoo, conditioner and soap that you had to take because you knew you would use them someday… it’s time to let them go. They create unnecessary clutter and let’s face it, they are unlikely to be used.
If you have an ABUNDANCE of these products, why not create a basket for your guests to use whenever they are over?! We think it’s a great compromise between the need to take free products from the hotel and the need to actually find use for them.
9. Check for items that don’t belong
If you find anything in your bathroom that you don’t use in your bathroom, consider moving them elsewhere. If you are anything like us, no matter how much storage you may have, you will find a way to fill it. Wasting space on objects that don’t belong is pointless, so do a thorough clean out.

With so many different styles out there, it can be hard choosing one that works for you and fits in well with the rest of the house.
With this in mind, we have picked out a few of our favourite looks to help inspire you to create your very own beautiful bathroom!
ADD A FEATURE TILE: Bright, light and airy, choose an array of neutral whites and greys to make your bathroom glow. Small pot plants can also be used to help keep the space looking fresh and clean. Finish it off with a stunning feature tile that draws the eye, and you will have yourself one beautiful bathroom!
THE MODERN LOOK: A traditional white bathroom is no longer your only option; instead, opt for floor to ceiling tiles in adarker shade for a real contemporary look. A clear half-shower door and waterfall shower head adds a touch of luxury, as does the built-in shelf. We love this modern design!
DESIGN IS IMPORTANT: These days many ensuites and bathrooms do not have a separate space or room for your toilet. If this is important to you, consider a design where this is an option, or like this bathroom, have the basin in plain sight while the shower and toilet are hidden around the corner! Remember, functionality should always be a priority in your home, or you may find yourself resenting it!
DÉCOR MATTERS: Instead of a traditional mirror, why not choose something a little bit different? This round mirror is unique and helps lift a relatively plain looking bathroom. It also adds a softness to the space. Don’t neglect your tapware or fixtures either, they can make a surprising difference to the overall feel of the room.

BE BRAVE: Don’t settle, be adventurous! If you want to create a bathroom that is uniquely yours, give anything and everything a go! Try adding some interesting feature tiles, change your towels to something bright that pops or include a crazy piece of décor you have always loved. Interior design is all about trying new things, so don’t be afraid to attempt something the world may not have seen yet!
