Buying your first home in Victoria? You may be eligible for government assistance. First home buyers building a new home can access the Victorian First Home Owner Grant of $10,000 — or $20,000 for new homes built in eligible regional Victorian areas — on properties valued up to $750,000. You may also be eligible for a full stamp duty exemption on homes up to $600,000, with concessions on a sliding scale up to $750,000.
